The magic that collaborative sessions often enables participants to get creative and even lead sessions independently. So what if mistakes happen? We will learn along the way! Excerpt from one such session at the Young Readers' Club.

We were about to play our customary riddles party- a time when we cook up riddles of our own. One of the young readers came forward asking if he could implement his idea for an activity based on books that we have read together at the Young Readers' Club. He was handed over the reins while I sat as a participant following his lead instead of being the one who facilitates discussions at the club.
Encouraged, he laid out the plan, the rules and even divided the group into teams. The activity was about identifying a character from a book that all of us were familiar with. The rules were laid. One team picked a character that they thought would be incredibly difficult to guess. The other team worked hard on the questions. What followed was a lot of fun. Plenty of laughter and the time ran out with the guessing team losing a round. When the answer was revealed, they went, "We were so close!" :)
The group voted that this activity must be repeated every two months! I sat on the side made a note in my notebook. The young readers have asked what they want to see in their club!
